sector is also highly diversified. It includes a large number of leading companies
specialized in the production of timber for construction, particle board, solid wood, wood
flooring, molding and wooden frames.
With approximately 4,000 employees in more than 200 firms, the Vosges department is a
major French center for furniture manufacturing. A high concentration of these firms is
located in the area surrounding Neufchâteau and Liffol-le-Grand.

present. The presence of a highly qualified workforce encourages the development of this
